Comic coffee at jalan mahogany, klang

Hello there.
Went to meet up with friend for a brief bakkut teh (pork ribs soupy dish) session at samy and min bakkut teh, bandar botanical:

三美肉骨茶(BOTANIC)Samy&Min bak kut teh.
According to our well-verse goodie from klang the main branch is at Pandamaran (the other part of klang).

Overall the bak kut teh was good, the meat was tender I suppose because it was thoroughly cooked. We could tell that the meat was flavorful enough most likely because it was infused in the ribs soup sufficiently long while cooking.

We headed to GM mall to check out... The place.  Though imma a Malaysian and live in msia, I have not ventured much in klang coz it is far from where I work and live.

At about 7pm, we headed to fruity bakery in hopes to grab some of their infamous Perth apple strudel. Unfortunately, they sold off the strudels but thanks to our friend and the bf, we finally managed to chill out at this nice cafe called comic coffee..

Nutella cake.  We all agreed that this is better than the kitkat cake

Oishi Japanese Food Delivery

Dear readers,

I have a bunch of very food savvy colleagues who are very competent in searching for food delivery services from time to time. Food delivery is convenient if you do not mind paying a little extra, and especially when you are not willing to drive out in search for a simple lunch. Of course, most of the time, the portion is small and price is on the high side, so we are always on the lookout for reasonably priced, and reasonably portioned meals on wheels!

So, the latest discovery by one of my colleagues was this:

The food portion is just enough.
Here is their menu:

The price is very reasonable! However, they charge a delivery fee of RM10, but if 10 people order, it will just be RM1 extra per person.

So here are the food photos IRL (in real life):

The box is so cute!
Saba and softshell crab Bento set- RM15!
Colleagues think this is totally worth it for RM15.
Tastes good and portion is sufficient.
D3 Chicken Teriyaki Don- RM6.50 only!
Choose this for a healthier alternative.

Chicken Teriyaki and Salmon bento set: RM16

Hmmm, not sure which this is
Saba fish with rice - RM10.
The mackerel was a huge slice!
This is my ultimate fav: Chicken Katsu with Mayo! RM 8!

      Pixiedust rating~
Service: 8.5/10 (very responsive on whatsapp and delivers on time)
Taste: 7/10
Ambience: -/10
Portion to price ratio(the bigger, the better) : 6/10
Taste to price ratio (the bigger, the better) : 7/10

Restoran Zai Kee, Jalan San Peng, Pudu

Dear readers (I wonder whether there is still anyone reading, hehe),

So, what have me and my beloveds been eating lately? Hmmm. yes, quite a number of new places definitely since I have been away for so long from this blog.

To help kickstart again after the long silence, here's bringing to you Restoran Zai Kee on Jalan San Peng. This restaurant is located  opposite the Pudu LRT.

Restoran Zai Kee

I was introduced to this very famous chinese restaurant by my foodie friend, C. This was our venue for chinese new year reunion this year with my kerandomsan (it is just a "random" name of a whatsapp group we call ourselves because we talk about everything under the sun, hence the name random) group.

Upon arrival, one will already know the food served is either reasonably priced, tasty, or just popular judging by the continous number of customers they serve. The parking here is a bit of a pain as it is limited but fear not, there is a vacant plot of land meant for parking just opposite the restaurant. Bad part is you have to cross over the main road if you parked at this parking plot.
Narrow road with limited parking spaces

Since photos paint a thousand words, shall I just post the photos courtesy from my very diligent friend, E:
Calamari and with chilli (belacan).
Yummy, must try for seafood lovers.

Prawn, not bad not bad. Notice the plating effort despite the
business of the entire place from the tables to the kitchen.

This roasted chicken was good, and what makes it special is the
sourish mango salad (mango kerabu) that comes with it,
making it very appetising.

This is their signature beancurd/ tofu. I think it is called "golden something tofu" in the menu.
The gravy simulates that of the shark fin's soup so that is
probably why it is reasonably impressive.
Taste wise, so so to me but my parents enjoyed this dish.

Your regular stir fried chinese vege
Another photo of the golden tofu

This was good.
Their signature too I suppose.
Prok Ribs (non-halal).
According to my friend, they are normally busy from 5pm right up to 11pm where the same number of huge crowd will be constantly there! Also, I heard from C that the chef(s) are trained and worked in one of the KL hotels prior to opening this place :)

So, hop on to Zai Kee if you run out off ideas of where to dine (or even if you don't run of ideas, it is worth it giving this place a go.. because............

LOOK AT THE EXTENSIVE MENU!

So, that's all for now and I hope to bring you another good post next time round!
Toodles!
