SUKIYA Bowl, IOI Putrajaya

I heard from my colleague that sukiya bowl is good and priced reasonably.  So decided to give it a try when we we're spoiled for choice at the ioi putrajaya mall.

Was rather disappointed with this ramen. Rm9.40 is just too expensive and too small a portion. Plus, the soup was very salty and tasted like it was heavily favoured with ajinomoto seasoning.

I'm not sure about the other sets, but what my colleagues ordered look better than my bowl of chicken ramen. Theirs were around rm15/ set. Kinda mediocre to them.  Prolly if I ever dine in sukiya bowl will try their gyudon instead.

Nom, Bangsar Village 2

Dear readers,

Hello again fellow hungry people! Visited NOM for a humble treat for mummy in conjunction with her birthday (suggested by sis). The following were what we ordered:

Nasi lemak was good.
Can be shared by two if both are small eaters.

Seafood risotto was good too!
However, the more you eat, it really tastes like there's too much
chicken stock and MSG.
Nice but one of the pricier meal here.

Ayam percik spaghetti. It can be considered a dish fusing
malay and western cuisine.
Tastes good but after a few scoops, it tasted really really salty.

Fried rice with a fried chicken drumstick.
Not bad, something simple yet sufficiently delicious.

Highlight of the night:
Lemon cake accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
It was october- halloween month and the chef decided to design the cake in a
form of a "ghost" and used chocolate sauce to form a spidey.
The ghost's head was a sugar meringue.

A close up of the dessert.

Food Matters: Online Food Delivery

Hi readers!

Today's update will be on the latest trending online food delivery in town: FOOD MATTERS! One of my colleagues recommended this as she heard that the food served tastes good and at the same time help keep your calorie intake checked. So, 4 of us went ahead to "subscribe" to this food delivery in order to enjoy the RM10/ meal price. We had to pay RM200 to enjoy this RM10/meal, else it would be pricier.
Here are what my colleagues and I ordered so far..

Tandoori Wrap.
Quite tiny, but my colleague said the
sauce that accompanies the chicken tastes really good.

Greek Salad with Couscous.
My colleagues often call this as "bird's food" because of its tremendously small amount.
According to colleague, this tasted very good, but still quite small a portion.

This tasted quite good actually. Quite heavily spiced with onions and
it was not as dry as the hainanese chicken rice, IMHO.

Left: Hainanese chicken rice
Right: curry leaf pesto pasta with mushroom and chicken

Curry leaf pesto pasta with mushroom and chicken. The more I ate, the more overpowering the taste of the creamy coconut milk (santan). Would consider the taste quite unique and fresh though.

Hainanese chicken Rice.
Chicken tastes good but overall, too dry (according to colleague).
If you compare with the photo on the Food matters website,
I wonder why no beansprouts were served.
see below for comparison:

OK, to be fair, they wrote
"* Photo displayed on this page is not an actual representation of the food delivered."
Speechless.
Thai baked fish with brown rice.
The fish tasted quite good, but the portion is really small you can
actually consider this as a snack instead of a lunch meal.

I think this is one of the best tasting meal from this online delivery.
Spicy Thai Chicken and Snow Pea Stirfry.
Chicken was definitely not dry with the correct amount of "gravy"
and the snowpeas were quite sufficient.

Unfried Fried Rice.
According to my colleague who tried this, it was dry without much taste.
Pepperish, if not mistaken.

Typically, you will get hungry again by 4pm after having this around 12.30pm. That's probably how they keep you healthy by making you eat many "small portions, more frequently".
